Born in 1920, Grandpa Pete grew up during the Great Depression. Losing his father at nine years old, he went to work after school to help support his mother, three brothers and two sisters.  He began by delivering groceries after school for a small meat market and graduated to cutting meat for the display case by the time he was twelve years old.  After finishing the ninth grade, he left school to work full time in the market.  Meat cutting was his passion and to him it was an art form.

Grandpa Pete worked in the meat business until 1959 when he went into police work.  He continued to cut meat for his family and friends and developed into an excellent cook.  He experimented with many seasonings and recipes, mostly meat related, throughout his life.

After his retirement from police work he returned to cutting meat for a local market.  He retired once again, only to hand cut steaks and develop meat entrees for a local steak house.

While Grandpa Pete has retired for the final time, his recipes and seasonings have not.  We are proud to offer you the best of Grandpa Pete's seasonings.

We have posted some of his favorite dishes on this website.  We hope you enjoy them as much as our family and friends have.
